MuCommander is a lightweight, cross-platform file manager with a dual-pane interface. It runs on any operating system with Java support (macOS, Windows, Linux,.BSD, Solaris.). Here's a non-exhaustive list of what you'll find: Virtual filesystem with support for local volumes, FTP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, HTTP, Amazon S3, Hadoop HDFS and Bonjour. Install the App

Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
Run in Terminal app:

and press enter/return key.
If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish.
Run:
brew install midnight-commander

Done! You can now use midnight-commander.

Similar Software for Mac

This directory contains binaries for a base distribution and packages to run on Mac OS X (release 10.6 and above). Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2 (and Mac OS X 10.1) are no longer supported but you can find the last supported release of R for these systems (which is R 1.7.1) here. Releases for old Mac OS X systems (through Mac OS X 10.5) and PowerPC Macs can be found in the old directory.
